Owner Has “Nothing To Say” After Police Confiscate His 38 Tortured Pit Bulls

When police showed up at 45-year-old David Allen Jackson’s Kentucky property with a search warrant, they knew dogs were in danger. Franklin County Sheriff Chris Quire says they arrived at the home to investigate reports of animal abuse and neglect.

In total, Jackson had 38 Pit Bulls without any food or clean water. Each dog was restrained in some capacity, either in cages or tethered to an immovable object. One of the chains weighed close to 50 pounds.

“It’s a large property,” Quire shared. “There were treadmills for the dogs and thick metal chains for the dogs. It was pretty bad living conditions.”

All 38 animals were seized and taken in for medical treatment. They were affected by various issues including heartworm, mange, and severe dental issues.

The entire time, Quire says Jackson did not talk much. They know based on the evidence and condition of the dogs that dogfighting and/or dog breeding is involved.

As of this writing, none of the dogs have been euthanized. Jackson was arrested and faces close to 40 counts of second-degree cruelty to animals.
